Documenting the graphic anomalies in the Tabula Peutingeriana, using emendations to show why each is unexpected, and exploring what such flaws may tell us about the chart's late antique history. A companion to the Animated Edition.
3,1:2 Arbor Felix
This emendation simply deletes a line from Arbor Felix to an edged green patch which evidently denotes Lake Como. A principal reason for the scepticism of scholars towards this otherwise unknown Alpine pass is the stop marked Cvria, which is clearly a duplication of Lvria just above it, and the lack of any other stops along what could never have been a one-day journey for any traveller. See Miller 201.
