The restoration of a line between Tarsus and Adana is uncontroversial:
the distance XXVIII plainly relates to this stretch (Miller 751,
TPPlace2327). By contrast, the proposal to link Tarsus to Piramum
(Miller 692 and
TPPlace2335) as shown in Miller's Figure 219 and Talbert's Map A needs to be opposed. It is
graphically unnecessary: whether Piramum is a river, a village or a second name for Mallo, it
clearly does not form part of any main line in the network.
