The empty chicane to the left of Nicopoli may be a copyist's mistake. The Talbert Map A shows the road from Spelvncis converging with the road from Anniaca and then crossing the Lykos River as a single road, well before they reach Mesorome from the west to enter a further junction. All three routes arrive together at Nicopolis by its west gate.
